Job Summary:

The Pediatric Private Duty Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care in a private duty setting. The nurse will work closely with the patient and their family to develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's unique needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a private duty setting Develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's unique needs Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's physician Monitor the patient's condition and report any changes to the physician and family Assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and dressing Provide emotional support to the patient and their family Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Communicate effectively with the patient's physician, family, and other healthcare providers

Qualifications:

Current nursing license in the state of Texas Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
