The LPN Night Supervisor provides leadership and oversight during weekend night shifts to ensure the highest quality of care for residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care settings. This role supervises Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs), ensuring that resident care needs are met promptly, safely, and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. The Night Supervisor serves as the primary clinical resource on duty and works collaboratively with the Director of Nursing to maintain excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to CNAs and CMTs during weekend night shifts.
Ensure resident care is delivered according to individualized service plans, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
Conduct rounds throughout the shift to monitor resident well-being, staff performance, and overall care delivery.
Administer medications and treatments within LPN scope of practice as needed.
Respond to and assess changes in resident condition; communicate concerns promptly to the Director of Nursing or on-call nurse as appropriate.
Assist with emergency response and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
Maintain accurate, timely charting and ensure staff complete required documentation.
Support a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.
Participate in shift hand-off reports to ensure continuity of care.
Uphold resident rights, dignity, and safety at all times.
Serve as the on-shift point of contact for residents, families, and staff regarding clinical concerns.
Ensure infection control, safety, and facility standards are consistently followed.
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered Kansas LPN license.
Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role strongly preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during overnight hours.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
Ability to assist residents with mobility as needed.
Must be able to respond promptly in emergency situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.50 - $35.00 per hour
