About the Role:




The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the healthcare services industry in the South region. This role involves providing direct nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN PRN will collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the position requires responding to fluctuating patient care demands and varying shift schedules. Ultimately, the LPN PRN contributes to maintaining a supportive and efficient healthcare environment that promotes positive patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:



Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of South. Completion of an accredited practical nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient care techniques, and medication administration. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience working in a healthcare setting such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities. Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Previous experience in PRN or per diem nursing roles.

Responsibilities:



Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely according to established protocols. Monitor and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities to support their comfort and recovery. Collaborate with healthcare team members to update and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards. Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, providing compassionate and professional care at all times. Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

The required skills enable the LPN PRN to deliver safe and effective patient care by accurately administering medications and monitoring patient conditions. Strong observational and documentation skills ensure that patient information is recorded precisely, facilitating seamless communication within the healthcare team. Preferred skills such as proficiency with electronic health records enhance efficiency and accuracy in managing patient data. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with patients and collaborating with colleagues.
