Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Support patients of all ages by performing both hands-on care and support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
+ Help assess and monitor patient conditions + Report any changes to the RN or doctor+ Assist with reassessments as needed
+ Document patient care activities accurately
Medication & Treatments:
+ Give medications and perform treatments as ordered + Start and monitor IVs+ Watch for any side effects and report issues right away
Education & Support:
+ Educate patients and families about care and treatments + Work with and help guide support staffOther Duties:
+ Perform additional tasks as assignedRequirements:
Experience:
+ Preferred: 1 year (not required)License:
+ Current LPN license in LouisianaSkills:
+ No special skills required, but must follow HIPAA, safety protocols, and hospital policiesExpectations:
Show care and respect to patients, families, and coworkers Follow legal and ethical standards Help improve patient care and work processes Use hospital resources wisely * Always prioritize patient and workplace safety
