Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Clinical Social Worker
As a Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the mental health and well-being of individuals and families. Your expertise in psychotherapy and clinical counseling will empower clients to navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic team, providing compassionate care to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various life circumstances.
What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, tailored to each client's unique situation.
Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to foster engagement and progress.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress or emergency situations.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and other behavioral health concerns.
Engage in clinical research and data collection to contribute to the advancement of social work practices and improve patient outcomes.
Support families through child and family counseling sessions, addressing challenges related to special education needs or autism spectrum disorders.
Basic qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation.
Malpractice insurance.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working with children and families in various settings, including home and community care.
Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate billing processes.
Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis.
