Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of low voltage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, cabling, audio/video and security technologies, with the ability to work in diverse environments including both residential and commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn technical expertise in audio/video, lighting, security systems, enterprise grade networks, CCTV, fire alarms, sensors, and telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems such as security alarms, CCTV surveillance, fire alarms, LAN, lighting, audio/video, sensors, and access control systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete system installations and repairs. Perform cabling tasks including running cables through walls or ceilings using power tools and hand tools while adhering to NEC standards. Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper operation of security and surveillance equipment. Provide field service support by diagnosing issues on-site and implementing effective solutions promptly. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate low voltage solutions. Assist in system design and layout planning for new installations or upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes during all phases of work.

Excellent attention to detail, focus, and listening skills. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for field service assignments. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Strong communication skills for working directly with clients and team members in diverse settings. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
