Low Drag / Lowboy Driver

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Low Drag / Lowboy Driver to join our team based out of our Huntington, WV shop. This position is responsible for operating a range of vehicles; from 1-ton trucks to lowboy trailers hauling heavy construction equipment, to support our field operations across various job sites. The ideal candidate is a professional driver with a Class A CDL, excellent safety habits, and experience working in construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles include

1-ton trucks, trailers, and lowboy haulers

. Safely

load, secure, transport, and potentially unload

heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites. Perform

daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections

and document findings accurately. Maintain compliance with

DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations

. Calculate weights and ensure proper load distribution for legal and safe transport. Report vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately. Maintain all required driver documentation, including

DVIRs

and logbooks. Assist field crews with incidental work when not driving.

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. Minimum 3 years of CDL-A experience, including lowboy and equipment hauling. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety regulations. Experience with air brakes and manual transmissions. Valid DOT medical card and ability to meet company MVR standards. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Monday-Friday 40 hours per week Emergency Loads and over night stay may be mandatory
