Position Summary
Sizzling Platter is growing! We're seeking a full-time entry-level
Loss Prevention & Security Systems Specialist
to join our IT Help Desk team based in Murray, UT. This position supports the company's loss prevention systems, including CCTV and alarm networks, while assisting with internal technical support requests. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, basic technical knowledge, and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Includes one week per month on-call rotation (typically 1-2 support requests per week). Occasional overtime (1-2 times per quarter) may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Administer user accounts and access codes for CCTV and alarm systems.
Provide direct user support and training for security tools and processes.
Respond to and resolve help desk support requests related to security systems.
Monitor alerts and dashboards for system issues; troubleshoot and restore connectivity for CCTV systems.
Configure and maintain Loss Prevention and Analytics reports and alerts.
Assist Operations with report creation, updates, and troubleshooting.
Perform remote security audits of CCTV and alarm systems.
Coordinate with external contractors for repair and maintenance of security systems.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
TCP/IP networking
Security camera system configuration and troubleshooting
Alarm system support
Strong written, verbal, and over-the-phone communication skills.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills
Customer service experience.
Active Directory user administration.
A+/MCP or equivalent certification.
Experience with CCTV or alarm systems in a corporate or retail environment.
Prior experience or training in Loss Prevention or Security administration.
Physical Requirements
This role may require lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or assisting with equipment setup and troubleshooting.
