Job Description

Ludlow Elementary School is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and dedicated professional to be a long term substitute teacher. The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching experience that demonstrates the following:

Knowledge and understanding of the Common Core State Standards Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and instructional skills The use of differentiated instruction to support all students The use of formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery The use of technology to transform teaching and learning The use of the Responsive Classroom approach to establish a safe and caring classroom community Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills Commitment to the success of ALL students, and ability to understand and teach to the various learning styles of students The ability to effectively engage students Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice.
Qualified candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold a valid VT Educator license with an Elementary Education endorsement or an Early Childhood Education endorsement, plus meet the HQT requirements for the endorsement.
