Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the tasks and work of Operations Support Technicians in the department
  • Responsible for the training of all new hire Operations Support Technicians
  • Responsible for assisting with the training of all Field Operations new hires as it relates to the departmental processes
  • Organizes workflow and prepares schedules; reviews payroll; approves all team member timesheets and leave
time * Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work,
counseling, applying performance improvement, progressive discipline, and completing employee appraisals in a timely manner * Meets with the Logistics Manager regarding policies affecting the administration of the department; recommends improvements and changes as appropriate
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D); or equivalent combination of education and
experience * Six (6) months to one (1) year related supervisory/leadership experience and/or training OR combination of
education/experience * Basic knowledge of process improvement
  • Knowledge of assembly line/ production systems
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as, but not limited to pallet jacks, ramps, ladders and dolly
  • Knowledge of radio communications equipment
  • Knowledge of precautions and safety procedures for handling and cleaning biohazards
  • Knowledge of minor repairs and maintenance procedures
