Logistics Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The overall responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator for MidLink Logistics LLC is to work in direct support of daily sales and customer service activities for one or more Logistics Account Representatives. It is the Logistics Coordinators responsibility to schedule and coordinate transportation for shipments across the U.S. for a wide range of goods. The role requires frequent communication across a supply base of over 30,000 approved carriers. It is a very fast paced role and requires both strong interpersonal skills and organization to be successful.

QUALIFICATION SUMMARY:

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload/multi-task. Strong negotiation skills required; ability to develop relationships at all levels. Possess good problem analysis skills and sound financial judgment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong work ethic, fast learner with attention and accuracy. Self-starter and motivated to achieve. Great phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable with computer and multiple applications. Using software programs to negotiate freight pricing and track loads. Ability to work and communicate with others in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily sales and negotiation for transportation resources with carriers Daily scheduling and coordination of shipments with customers and carrier partners Relationship development and building across a carrier base of over 30,000 approved carriers Routine follow-up activities on trucking activities ensuring delivery is made on-time and at cost targets Prompt updates of any carrier issues Posting freight on internet freight boards MidLink Logistics LLC systems maintenance

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Professional Customer Service experience is a strong plus Experience in the logistics/transportation industry is a strong plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
