Kid Gloves is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused
Logistics Coordinator
to support and coordinate interstate moving operations from start to finish. This role is primarily responsible for handling phone communication and emails related to long-haul moves, preparing estimates, scheduling crews and equipment, supporting quality control during loading, and following up with clients throughout the move process. The ideal candidate is organized, confident on the phone, and comfortable coordinating multiple active moves at once.
Key Responsibilities
Move Coordination:
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls related to interstate moves, including inquiries, scheduling, updates, and issue resolution.
Estimating & Job Setup:
Prepare and review estimates for interstate moving and storage services. Confirm scope, access details, timing, and special handling requirements prior to booking.
Scheduling & Dispatch Support:
Coordinate schedules for interstate moves by working with operations staff to assign crews, trucks, and timelines. Assist with schedule adjustments due to changes or delays.
Quality Control Support:
Support quality control efforts by reviewing work orders, confirming inventory accuracy, and assisting with oversight during loading and staging.
Loading Coordination:
Work with warehouse staff and moving crews to support proper loading plans, confirm handling requirements, and ensure loads are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Client Follow-Up:
Provide proactive follow-up with clients before, during, and after moves to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
Issue Tracking & Resolution:
Identify and communicate issues related to scheduling, loading, transit, or delivery, escalating concerns to supervisors as needed.
System Updates & Documentation:
Maintain accurate job notes, schedules, and customer information within company logistics and inventory systems.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in logistics coordination, moving operations, or transportation support preferred.
Strong phone communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
Experience assisting with estimates or pricing services preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously.
Proficiency with scheduling software, logistics systems, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office-based role with regular interaction in the warehouse and with moving crews.
Occasional presence in the warehouse during loading for coordination and quality support.
Frequent use of phone and computer throughout the workday.
