Job Description

Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for balancing truck capacity with customer orders. This position will also work with drivers on their preferred lanes and dispatches, as well as being responsible for communicating work schedules with drivers, scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, and assist the dispatch team with other operational tasks when necessary. The Logistics Coordinator will also be upselling our services to current customers and marketing Niece Trucking to potential new customers.

Responsibilities:

Balance freight and freight board with available trucks and drivers Communicate dispatch schedules with appropriate drivers Market and upsell Niece Trucking's services to current and potential customers Keep internal and external TMS systems up to date Assist payroll with potential driver wage questions Work with customers to provide tracking / tracing updates Monitor 3rd party load boards for potential back haul fits On Call weekend phone rotation - once every 6-7 weekends

Strong communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Able to multitask and prioritize duties Proficient typing and strong computer skills Self-motivated problem solver Strong sales mentality

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree is preferred Previous transportation experience required Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Physical Demands:

Frequent sitting, use of computer, communications via telephone Regular and predictable attendance in office Position may require ocasional travel

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
