Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking an efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage and supervise the transportation of automobile parts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. The coordinator will track shipments, liaise with transport companies, and ensure timely delivery of parts to their destinations.
The responsibilities include assessing and organizing logistical functions, retrieving information from the customer portal(s), coordinating with carriers, and ensuring safe and timely delivery of automobiles.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with supply chain procedures and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
The goal is to ensure that the automobile transportation process is efficient and cost-effective.
Automobile Manufacturing Logistics Coordinators are responsible for managing and overseeing all logistics activities necessary for the transportation of automotive parts from one location to another.
They must ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of automobile parts, which involves coordinating with various external customers.
Their main duties and responsibilities include:
Planning and Coordination
: Developing transportation schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs.Inventory Management
: Monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, coordinating with warehouse staff.Communication
: Facilitating communication between production, sales, and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.Documentation
: Ensuring all necessary documentation, such as shipping papers and customs forms, is in order.Problem Resolution
: Identifying and resolving supply chain disruptions and delays to maintain smooth production and distribution.This role is critical for maintaining supply chain efficiency and supporting production deadlines within the automotive industry.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
