Major Function

Performs logistic and administrative support for the Ankeny Distribution Center.

This position directly affects distribution center workflow and customer satisfaction; frequent contact with internal and external customers. There will be some contact with all levels of distribution, customers and vendors; no travel expected.

Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday. Onsite position.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: \xe2\x80\x8b

• \xe2\x80\x8bBecome proficient in the use of the Transportation Management System, Mercury Gate/Mojo & SAP.
• Assist Supervisor in running the day to day operations with WM and Yard Management.

• Reducing shipping costs by utilizing best pooling and LTL options based on DC\xe2\x80\x99s changing outbound capacity.
• Create documentation for shipments as required.
• Process Cycle Counts on a daily/weekly basis as needed helping maintaining accuracy in the DC storage locations.
• Post goods issue on shipments.
• Maintain accurate, complete paperwork and proper forwarding of International/ domestic documentation as needed.
• Research any transportation and booking discrepancies that arise and work with all parties until resolved.
• Complete hazardous material shipping training as needed; support operations needs for hazardous material paperwork and assist in training additional administrative labor as needed.
• Communicate with truckload and LTL carriers as required.
• Maintain open communication relationship with Order Services and assist in efforts to resolve issues.
• File all required paperwork created in job duties in a timely manner.
• Help operators/pickers with shipping documentation needs as they arise.
• Assist in CI ideas for the DC operation utilizing monthly action items to track progress.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:\xe2\x80\x8b

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with personal computers to include email, Internet, Microsoft Excel and Word, SAP
• 1 to 3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or order fulfillment experience
• Excellent customer service skills
