Forestry Worker / Sawyer / Equipment Operator
About us Wildland fire prevention services. Low impact small acreage logging and thinning As a dedicated wildland fire prevention service our goal is to help forest landowners reduce stand density, increase forest health and reduce the risks associated with living in the Wildland Urban Interface. This position will usually start in mid-April and go to late November, weather dependent. Daily tasks:

• using a chainsaw to cut brush, small trees and limb branches
• safely and accurately fall larger merchantable timber
• measuring and accurately cutting merchantable timber
• pulling and piling slash/ burning slash piles
• correctly identifying species
• equipment maintenance
• working in adverse weather conditions and on uneven ground
• safely working with and around equipment: chippers, excavators and forwarders

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
