Log Yard Auditor
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Log Yard Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry and agriculture, with experience in grading and auditing logs. This outdoor position requires a fair amount of travel and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
Compensation: $45,000-$55,000 to start, based on experience and bonuses
Responsibilities of the Log Auditor:
- Inspect and grade logs for quality and compliance with industry standards
- Ensure accurate measurement and documentation of log inventory
- Identify and report any issues or concerns with log quality or inventory
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective log yard operations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor\'s degree in forestry, agriculture, or related field a plus
- Proven experience as a Log Auditor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of log grading and industry standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
