As a Locum NP/PA in Hematology Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients dealing with blood disorders and cancer. This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best treatment outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Monitor and manage patient responses to therapies
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
Perform necessary procedures within the scope of practice
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Requirements
Associate's degree in Nursing or relevant field
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
Previous experience in Hematology Oncology preferred
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5:30p
Call rotation every 4th or 5th week
Daily Volume: 15-18 patients
Level III trauma facility
Setting: Primarily outpatient with some inpatient
Patient Mix: 70% oncology, 30% hematology
Support Staff: Oncologists, APP, MA
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
