Lock Desk Technician

Position Summary:

The lock desk technician is responsible for assisting the lock desk team in managing the locked pipeline and its associated tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Mastery all software pertinent to job description (Byte LOS, Optimal Blue, MS Excel) Process all new locks and manage locked pipeline Assist with the pricing and selling of locked loans Work closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters and other team members to ensure timely processing and locking of loans Communicate with investors and loan officers to resolve issues related to pricing and locking of loans Maintain and update pricing and lock policies and procedures Provide training and support to loan officers and other staff members on lock desk operations Maintain accurate records of all pricing and lock transactions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Solid understanding of mortgage products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Proficient in relevant software and technology tool, including loan origination systems, pricing engines and Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

Experience in the mortgage industry and Secondary Marketing preferred * Ability to pass a background check
