You will operate with the judgment of a loan officer and the discipline of an elite processor--anticipating underwriting outcomes, identifying risk early, and pushing files to clear-to-close through decisive action and informed communication.
What You'll Do
Drive loan files from setup through clear-to-close and post-close with urgency and precision
Process loans across
multiple lenders, platforms, and loan programs
Analyze borrower income, assets, credit, and property documentation at an underwriting level
Perform FHA, Conventional, and VA income and asset calculations
Research underwriting guidelines and lender overlays to resolve issues before they stall files
Communicate directly with borrowers to obtain conditions and keep momentum strong
Coordinate and actively manage appraisals, title, insurance, credit, payoffs, and disclosures
Monitor rate locks, contract dates, and regulatory timelines to protect the transaction
Evaluate how new information impacts qualification and restructure files when needed
Maintain clean, compliant, audit-ready loan files
Consistently meet or exceed turnaround, quality, and performance KPIs
Professional Profile
Works from checklists and closes loops--nothing lingers
Understands guidelines well enough to anticipate conditions and underwriting responses
Moves borrowers, vendors, and internal teams forward with confidence
Makes sound decisions under pressure and explains them clearly
Manages multiple files without losing control of priorities
Qualifications
3+ years as a Loan Processor (mortgage broker environment strongly preferred)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Strong working knowledge of underwriting guidelines, lender overlays, and TRID
DU and LP AUS proficiency
FHA, Conventional, and VA loan experience
LOS experience (Calyx preferred)
Strong math skills (income analysis, percentages, tolerances)
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and accountable
