Overview

Loanstar Lending is growing fast, and we're hiring an

experienced, in-office Loan Processor

in

Dearborn, MI

. You'll manage files from application/contract through

clear-to-close

, keep documentation tight, and communicate proactively so loans don't turn into last-minute fire drills. This role is for someone who already knows the flow, takes pride in clean files, and can handle volume without chaos.

Responsibilities

Process mortgage loan files from application/contract through

clear-to-close (CTC)

Review incoming documents for completeness and accuracy (income, assets, credit, ID, disclosures) Request missing items early and keep borrowers informed on what's needed and why Order and track third-party items as required (appraisal, title, insurance, VOE/VOI, flood, etc.) Submit complete packages to underwriting and manage conditions through final approval Maintain accurate notes, milestones, and status updates in the LOS Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title/escrow, and agents to keep timelines on track Identify issues early (documentation gaps, guideline concerns, timing problems) and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

2+ years

recent mortgage processing experience (required) Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and underwriting conditions Proven ability to manage multiple active files in a

high-volume

environment Clear, consistent communication and strong follow-up habits High attention to detail and ability to stay organized under deadlines Comfortable working

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
