Under limited supervision, in accordance with established policies and procedures, provides administrative services for the loan department. Previous experience working with Fiserv Precision or similar loan servicing programs and LaserPro or similar loan document preparation programs is desirable and helpful. The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for performing loan follow-up responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in servicing the bank's clients. The employee also provides general administrative support for loan department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Prepares and prints all consumer, commercial and real estate loan documents in conformance with the bank's policies and procedures as well as in compliance with state and federal requirements.
2. Collects information and documentation to assist the loan officers in the loan approval or denial process.
3. Communicates issues with the lenders, borrowers and management to assure timely closing of loans.
4. Establishes, organizes and maintains credit files as documents are received.
5. Orders appraisals, real estate title searches and title insurance policies, credit reports, and flood determinations as requested.
6. Board all new loans onto the core processing system, along with keyboarding all entries, in accordance with established bank policies and procedures.
7. Processes and presents all necessary filing, recording, and acknowledgment instruments to public officials to perfect the bank's lien priority position.
8. Review loan documentation to ensure adherence to the approved credit request as well as compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Review loan specifics to the data entered in the core system and initiate necessary file maintenance or other corrective action as necessary.
9. Monitor, maintain and update loan tickler and tracking systems, including but not limited to, post-closing items, UCC, hazard insurance, flood insurance, financial documents and document deficiencies.
10. Process loan monetary transactions.
11. Generate, distribute and review daily and other periodic loan reports.
12. Perform necessary corrections, file maintenance and other corrective actions as necessary.
13. Review, reconcile and balance various loan accounts.
14. Monitor and maintain escrowed and non-escrowed real estate tax and insurance records.
15. Process paid-out loan files to include releasing various collateral types and updating of bank records.
16. Scan loan documents to electronic imaging system.
17. Prepare pay-off letters and other correspondence as requested by customers and bank personnel.
18. Provide additional support as requested and as assigned by management.
19. Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one's own actions and conduct.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Work related experience must include past employment in a loan operations environment. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
Basic knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate and consumer loan processing.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
Basic knowledge of related state and federal loan regulations and other Bank lending policies.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and members of the general public.
Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; and word processing and spreadsheet software.
Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
Basic math skills; calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees.
Ability to deal with normal problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
