Loan Officer II

Bath, Maine

Midcoast Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loan Officer II to support our Loan Department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, positive, outgoing, and influential with a strong emphasis on sales and results to ensure the credit union maximizes lending and ancillary product opportunities with members who apply for credit over the phone or through other channels. This role requires someone who commands a thorough knowledge of home equity and consumer lending processes, and may serve as a home equity originator. The Loan Officer II must be able to promote and sell ancillary loan products, identify additional products, and services to cross sell and work with the retail employees to open new accounts. The Loan Officer II will also partner with Business Lending Solutions to increase business opportunities. This is a hybrid/remote position based out of our Bath office with some in-person training and onsite work required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensures complete and accurate home equity, business and consumer loan packages are submitted to Origence for underwriters to review within established time frames and compliance requirements.

Participates in developing consumer lending business for the Credit Union. Calls on members to expand existing relationship; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the Credit Union's member base.

Participates in developing lending and deposit business for Credit Union partnering with the BLS. Identifies opportunities to cross-sell new and/or additional products or services. Stays abreast of new types of home equity, business, and consumer loans and lending trends, rules and regulations, market conditions, and factors, and other financial services and products to better meet member's needs.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Experience

3-5 years similar or related experience.

Education

A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Compensation Details

Base compensation commensurate with experience and supplemented with sales incentives.
