Job Description

Responsibilities and Essential Duties of the Load Builder:

Hours-7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Under general supervision, this person will perform routine loading and unloading of materials.



Assembles and loads packages for delivery to customer locations.



Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or other Wildman vehicles.



Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage to products in transit.



Drives and operates various lifting devices (e.g. forklift) to move products safely.



Performs load-building, determining the appropriate weight, composition, and placement of load based on customer orders and capacity of delivery vehicles.



Conveys materials to and from storage to designed areas using hand truck, electric dolly, forklift or other devices.



Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or containers to provide correct identification of items.



Restocks and repacks damaged or incorrectly loaded products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Detail oriented and pays close attention to accuracy.



Ability to work from a ladder or elevated platform.



Requires ability to communicate well with others.



Excellent time management skills.



Can apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.



Ability to multi-task.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree preferred.



Related work experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift of work.



Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.



Standing, walking, manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers for 8 -10 hours per day.



Extreme temperatures in summer (heat) and winter (cold).



Occasional travel to the outlying office locations.
