Job Description

This position is eligible for the following differentials:

Evening $3 per hour

Night $5 per hour

Weekend $2 per hour (paid in addition to any applicable eve or night shift)

An employment bonus of up to $7,500 (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position! The bonus is paid in three installments: 1st after 90 days, 2nd after one year, and 3rd after two years. Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years with Porter Medical Center. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.


Licensed Nursing Assistants are responsible for working collaboratively under the direction of the Staff Nurse to deliver basic personal care support and specific aspects of patient care. Responsive communication, respect, and support to our residents is the central feature of this position.

Requirements:

State of Vermont LNA license

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work respectfully

Unit Information

The Post-Acute Unit focuses on preparing patients for discharge home after hospitalization. Our expert staff work together to address the individual needs of our residents-many of whom are with us for short stays following surgery and/or hospitalization before returning home. Specially designed treatment programs provide you with the preparation, support and education that enables our residents to return home as quickly as possible.
