We are seeking a highly organized and proactive House Manager/Care Taker to oversee the daily operations of a private residence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and experience in managing household staff and coordinating various household activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the smooth functioning of a busy household while providing excellent service and support to the family. The House Manager will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and well-maintained environment, ensuring all household needs are met with professionalism and discretion.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate household staff, including housekeepers, cooks, childcare providers, and maintenance personnel
Oversee household operations such as cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping management
Plan and coordinate events, family gatherings, and special occasions with attention to detail and guest experience
Manage household supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of necessary items
Assist with childcare responsibilities as needed, including supervising children's activities and overseeing childcare staff
Organize daily schedules for family members and staff to optimize time management and efficiency
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing household budgets, and maintaining records
Oversee property management tasks including maintenance requests, security protocols, and renovations if applicable
Coordinate meal planning and cooking when required; supervise housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained
Provide personal assistance to family members as needed, including running errands or managing personal schedules
Qualifications
Proven experience in house management or a similar role within residential or hospitality settings
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent supervisory experience managing household staff or teams
Background in event planning, childcare, or hospitality is highly desirable
Skilled in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, laundry, cooking, and property oversight
Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Experience with administrative responsibilities such as scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination
Knowledge of hotel or property management practices is a plus
Previous experience in personal assistant roles or hospitality environments is advantageous
