Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Live Sound Technician to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality audio experiences during live events, concerts, and broadcasts. This role requires technical expertise in sound equipment, signal processing, and audio mixing, along with a keen ear for sound quality. The Live Sound Technician will collaborate closely with performers, event organizers, and production staff to deliver seamless audio performance in various live settings.

Duties

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live sound equipment including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers Monitor audio levels throughout live events to maintain optimal sound quality Adjust sound settings in real-time to accommodate acoustics and performer needs Perform routine maintenance and calibration of audio equipment to ensure peak performance Manage signal processing and routing to prevent feedback or technical issues during performances Assist with the setup and teardown of audio gear before and after events Document technical issues and communicate solutions effectively to team members

Experience

Proven experience working as a Live Sound Technician or in a similar audio production role Proficiency with audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Avid is a plus for multimedia integration Strong knowledge of sound reinforcement systems and signal processing techniques Experience with videography, content creation, and video production is advantageous for multimedia events Familiarity with post-production editing and video editing tools is beneficial for supporting event recordings or broadcasts Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly under pressure during live performances Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
