Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented

Live Event Production Manager

to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of live events, ensuring seamless production from concept to completion. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of event logistics, technical production, and vendor management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality experiences on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning:

Collaborate with creative, technical, and logistical teams to develop production timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.

On-site Management:

Lead all aspects of on-site event production, including load-in/load-out, technical setup, rehearsals, show calling, and strike.

Vendor Coordination:

Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with AV companies, staging, lighting, rigging, labor crews, and other production vendors.

Technical Oversight:

Ensure all technical elements (audio, video, lighting, streaming, etc.) are properly installed and function flawlessly during events.

Team Leadership:

Manage production staff, freelancers, and contractors; assign roles and responsibilities; and maintain clear communication across all departments.

Health & Safety:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with venue regulations and industry standards.

Budget & Reporting:

Track production costs, prepare reconciliations, and provide post-event reports and debriefs.

Qualifications

3-7 years of experience in live event production, stage management, or technical direction Strong understanding of AV systems, stage design, rigging, and show operations Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure Proficiency with production scheduling tools and event management software (e.g., Vectorworks, Basecamp, Asana, Showcaller Pro) Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hybrid/virtual event platforms (e.g., vMix, Zoom Events, ON24) Experience in corporate events, concerts, festivals, or large-scale conferences
