Job Description

Rajan Legal PC is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to replace our Senior litigator with our dynamic legal team located in Central New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong demeanor, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing legal environment. This position requires an exceptional work ethic and the ability to provide effective and timely legal services to clients while collaborating with colleagues and support staff while operating under minimal supervision. Candidate will be responsible for handling all stages of a matter including client intake, pre-litigation services, and all other litigation procedures from pleadings to trial.

Responsibilities

Analyze legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients;

Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs conduct depositions, prepare client, and attend hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, depositions, trial;

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations;

Build and maintain strong client relationships; and

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with admission to New Jersey Bar required, New York preferred;

3-5 years of litigation experience, with knowledge of construction, IT, civil, and commercial litigation as well as appellate court procedures preferred;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills;

Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and time management abilities with a billable requirement of 120 hours per month;

Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing legal situations;

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team; and

Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.

Benefits

Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience
