We opened our doors recently in Phoenix, AZ, offering one-on-one intervention to students of all ages with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills.

Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Literacy Interventionist who will work closely with students in grades K-8 to deliver one-on-one intervention in reading, writing, and spelling. This role is a full-time position.
You will use evidence-based, explicit, systematic instruction to assess, instruct, and monitor student progress, tailoring your approach to each learner's unique needs. You'll collaborate with our team, parents, and leadership to ensure every student's success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized one-on-one instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, and writing, using structured literacy methodologies
Diagnose students' needs, analyze formal/informal assessments, and adjust instruction accordingly
Create and refine instructional materials aligned with the science of reading
Monitor student progress (weekly/biweekly progress monitoring) and maintain accurate records with detailed narrative reports
Collaborate with our team of interventionists, leadership, and parents to align goals and communication
Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and review of current research
Hold periodic parent/guardian check-ins and reporting sessions

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, Reading, Literacy, or a related field
5+ years
of experience in literacy intervention, structured literacy instruction, or reading specialist roles
Deep knowledge and experience using structured literacy, multisensory, explicit, systematic methods (e.g. LETRS, Orton-Gillingham)
Experience with diagnostic assessment, progress monitoring, and instructional planning (e.g. DIBELS, Acadience, Lexia Core 5, LETRS)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Formal certification (or demonstrable training) in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or equivalent structured literacy credential
LETRS certification or experience
Prior experience in one-on-one or small-group intervention settings
Experience working with students with dyslexia or other literacy challenges
Familiarity with data tools and digital literacy platforms
Work Schedule and Options
Full-time: regular daytime hours
Must be able to work in person at our Phoenix location
