Main Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Service Technician to join our team at Simon Aviation Services, a fixed based operator (FBO) at the Houma-Terrebonne Airport. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aircraft service and general maintenance, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft services, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. This role is not classified as a FAA safety sensitive role.

Essential Duties

Perform the fueling, towing, and marshaling of aircraft, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Wash and detail aircraft exteriors and interiors Assist pilots and passengers with arrival and departure services Keep hangar, ramp areas, fuel trucks, and equipment clean, organized, and safe Dispense Jet A and AvGas in compliance with quality control standards Complete fuel logs, inspection sheets, and paperwork accurately Assist with receiving fuel deliveries and conducting quality control checks Collaborate with the Owners and co-workers on logistics related to aircraft servicing Maintain accurate records of service activities and inspections in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Assist customers with inquiries and provide professional, high-quality service to enhance their experience Conduct heavy lifting as required for equipment handling and building maintenance tasks Perform light building maintenance, janitorial tasks, and general upkeep of the premises Perform other duties as required by supervisor

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Strong Customer Service skills Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Basic math skills for calculations related to tasks Excellent self-motivational skills and work ethic Excellent reliability Ability to communicate effectively in English Must be adaptable to a changing service environment Must work well with other employees In a team environment Willingness to learn Must be able to work weekends and / or holidays as needed Must have a valid Driver's License Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must be able to pass the HTAC Mobility Zone Test Must be able to complete and pass FAA Approved Line Service training Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Desirable Experience

Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and aviation standards

Pay: $14.00 per hour
