Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced line cook to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chef's exact specifications. You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth. As a line cook, you are the backbone of our kitchen, ensuring the consistent and steady completion of meals that meet & exceed expectations.

Responsibilities Include:



1. Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations

2. Preparing food items by cleaning, cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces

3. Cooking appetizers, main dishes, and desserts to kitchen standards set forth by Executive Chef by grilling, frying, sauteing and other cooking methods

4. Plating prepared foods based on Chef's guidance

5. Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

6. Washing and cleaning the kitchen surfaces and cooking utensils, storing equipment properly at the end of shifts

7. Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage

8. Performing inventory checks and completing food storage logs

Requirements:



1. Basic written and verbal communication skills

2. Organizational skills

3. Accuracy and speed in executing tasks

4. Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team

5. Follows directions and instructions

6. One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook

7. Experience with various cooking methods and procedures

8. Familiar with industry best practices

9. Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
