Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a kitchen setting, particularly in fine dining establishments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the safety of all food served. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service. Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards. Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the industry. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
