Job Summary

Provide fee for service individual counseling to our clients on a weekly or biweekly basis. May help individuals deal with a broad range of mental health issues such as those associated with addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, marital problems, trauma, stress management, self-esteem, or aging. This position also includes weekly individual supervision in accordance with the Limited Permit requirements.

Education and Experience

Master's Degree in Counseling Mental health counseling limited permit All applicants must be fluent in English

Primary Job Duties

Provide psychotherapy to individuals & couples. Diagnose clients in keeping with the DSM-V diagnostic criteria Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports in our electronic health records (EHR) system. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. Collaborate with mental health professionals and other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans. Collaborate with clients to produce safety plans for clients at risk of suicide or self harm. Maintain code of ethics and confidentiality of all client information in keeping with HIPAA. Maintain licensure or limited permit in good standing with New York State.
