Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. This role requires a strong understanding of swimming fundamentals, as well as the ability to engage and motivate students.

Please Note: This position is seasonal employment full-time from Monday June 15th-August 14th.

Duties

Instruct swim classes for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on proper techniques and water safety. Assess individual student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet diverse learning needs. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a vigilant watch over swimmers. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any incidents that may occur during lessons. Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all swimmers.

Requirements

Proven experience as a swim instructor or in a similar role is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is required. Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, pool cleaning, and maintenance practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for equipment setup or pool maintenance tasks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages. A passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety in a fun environment.
