Aging Gracefully St. Louis is seeking a Life Enrichment Specialist to join our small, compassionate team. This is a unique opportunity to provide one-on-one engagement for clients experiencing dementia, Parkinson's, or other age-related conditions--delivered in the comfort of their own homes or care settings.

About the Role:

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated professional with experience in therapeutic recreation, occupational therapy, social work, or similar fields. You will be responsible for designing and delivering personalized, meaningful activities that improve quality of life, reduce isolation, and help manage dementia-related behaviors. This position is ideal for someone with strong emotional intelligence, a therapeutic use of self, and a gift for working with discerning clients and families.

Responsibilities Include:

Conducting individualized activity sessions based on client interests, abilities, and goals Encouraging hobbies, physical movement (e.g., walks, chair yoga), and creative outlets (music, crafts, games) Providing caregiver relief while maintaining client dignity and engagement Supporting clients during errands, appointments, or light community outings Engaging clients in conversation and cognitive stimulation tailored to their needs Collaborating with care managers to support a holistic plan of care
Qualifications:

A Master's degree in recreational therapy/social work/OT or a related field, minimum

Experience working with older adults, especially those with dementia or Parkinson's Training or background in therapeutic recreation, activity coordination, social work, or similar Compassionate, dependable, and culturally sensitive with excellent communication skills Highly creative, flexible, and confident working independently Comfortable with high-end, professional clientele Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
