Work directly with residents providing acceptance, friendliness, and compassion. Activity programs are based on the tenant's interests, strengths, and needs, in an atmosphere of warmth, success, and encouragement.
Hours of Work:
Full-time, flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed but primarily scheduled during business hours.
Essential Requirements of Work:
Minimum qualifications necessary.
A. Education and Training
a. High school diploma or equivalent
b. Basic activity course (a willingness to take this course)
B. Experience:
Previous work with seniors is desirable.
D. Job knowledge:
a. Have knowledge of various activities and be familiar with tenant's limitations
b. Musical/performance ability desirable
c. Ability to read, write, and follow directions
d. Ability to speak clearly, and to make self-understood to residents of varying abilities
e. Ability to think creatively, plan and problem solve
f. Ability to prepare, present, and evaluate activity
