Our DHS Team supports our Nation\xe2\x80\x99s homeland security efforts providing, operating and assuring mission-critical wireline, wireless (including FirstNet), and vehicle-telematics services for the full spectrum of mission execution.

AT&T will provide specialized Life Cycle Engineering (LCEs) support for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

All work is to be performed during Normal Business Hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. Weekend and Holiday coverage (based on AT&T Holiday Schedule) is excluded. The intent of this service is to provide assistance to the customer beyond the normal scope of AT&T support. The Scope-of-Work encompasses Life-Cycle support of the TSANet co-managed network in accordance with the EIS Contract.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Build TSA router configurations prior to implementation according to planned designs. This includes hardware/software verification using pre-staged configurations from AT&T facility, if needed.
  • Keep up to date all AT&T router configurations templates (TSA & FAMS) using TSA\xe2\x80\x99s SharePoint tool.
  • Perform quality assurance and integrity of router configurations.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for collecting and collating engineering data pertaining to the management and operations of the routers operating in the TSA network.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for AT&T owned equipment racked within TSA\xe2\x80\x99s 3rd floor Main Server Room (MSR) at the TSA Headquarters location.
  • Ensure network changes are implemented properly and in a timely manner.
  • Review and analyze network re-designs, expediting the re-design process to speed implementation.
  • Identify and resolve chronic network issues (excludes physical layer issues).
  • Provide network traffic analyses to support optimal network management
  • Handle TSA escalations at LCE level.
  • Identify issues that could cause potential customer problems; work with various departments to mitigate or resolve these issues.
  • Perform transition TSA implementations. This includes configuring the out-of-band encrypted modems. Supervise installations during activation conference calls. Track exceptions that occur during the activation, work to get them resolved in a timely manner.
  • Write-up RFCs and submit them to TSA\xe2\x80\x99s SCCB (System Change Control Board). Coordinate such changes through the proper channels. Perform and/or submit network changes.
  • Support any circuits disconnect and coordinate erasure of device configurations.
  • Provide supplemental operations on a Tier-3 level. This will not replace the existing ticket management functions inherent within the AT&T NOC organization.
  • Provide product expertise for Cisco product families, including the BOM for TSA\xe2\x80\x99s router packages.
  • Work cooperatively with other TSA contractors/engineers (Peraton, Cisco, etc..) to seamlessly investigate and resolve issues.
Required Clearance:

Required Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of experience building, implementing, and maintaining router configurations.
  • Anticipates potential problems, identifies risks, and plans contingencies.
  • Able to work independently when provided with broad objectives.
  • Able to work multiple issues simultaneously while maintaining professional composure.
  • Ability to effectively convey ideas, facts, and directions in either written or verbal form, both informally and formally.
