NDDOT Hiring Salary: $3,611 / month

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our Motor Vehicle section as a Licensing Specialist. In this role, you will respond to a wide range of inquiries related to motor vehicle registration, titling, taxation, leasing, policies, and motor carrier programs. Communication may occur through various channels, including telephone, fax, email, postal mail, or in person, with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to provide accurate technical guidance on applicable statutes, rules, policies, and procedures to the public, coworkers, and staff at contracted branch offices.


Minimum Qualifications



High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of three years of experience performing a variety of complex administrative support or customer service tasks. Relevant college-level coursework may substitute for up to two years of the required work experience, on a year-for-year basis. Must demonstrate strong telephone customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively-both verbally and in writing-even under pressure, to prevent confusion or miscommunication. Must be able to remain calm, composed, and professional when interacting with distressed or upset individuals, as daily public contact is a key part of this role.

Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment. Employment is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check.
