Pet Medical Center is located in Harker Heights, Texas and has been serving the community for 20 years. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats; offering services such as routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Are you an LVT who loves high-quality medicine and a collaborative, supportive team? Our AAHA-accredited small animal practice is looking for a motivated technician to help us deliver top-notch care in a progressive, fast-paced environment.

Position Skills:

Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
