Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) -- Agave Postpartum Wellness

About Agave Postpartum Wellness

Agave Postpartum Wellness

is a nurse practitioner-led women's health clinic dedicated to perinatal and postpartum care.

We provide trauma-informed, evidence-based support for postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, lactation-related stress, grief and loss, relationship transitions, and overall women's mental health.

Our mission is to help women navigate the postpartum period with compassion, connection, and clinical excellence.

About the Role

Contract (1099) therapist role in a private practice setting. You're passionate about perinatal mental health and evidence-based treatment, and you value collaborative care in a small, high-touch clinic. Services are primarily in person with optional hybrid/telehealth.

Caseload:

This is a new position. You'll start without an existing patient panel and build your caseload gradually through internal referrals and clinic marketing.

, not a cash-pay practice. Compensation reflects insurance reimbursement structures.

Credentialing:

We provide

credentialing

with major insurance panels.

Clinician Will:

Perform diagnostic assessments and determine appropriate diagnoses. Provide psychoeducation to patients and families on perinatal mental health. Deliver

evidence-based treatment

(e.g., CBT, ACT, IPT, ERP as indicated, mindfulness, trauma-informed approaches). Coordinate care with our nurse practitioners and community partners. Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EMR and contribute to a positive, learning-oriented clinic culture.

Who We Are Looking For

:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Master's degree

in a behavioral health discipline (

LCSW, LPC, or LMFT

).

Clinical/Independent Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker

desired for this position. Must be

clinically licensed and in good standing

with the

Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

This role is

for independently licensed clinicians only

-- not for associate-level or supervised positions. Provide

confidential, non-judgmental services

to patients in alignment with the clinic's mission. Consistently maintain

HIPAA-compliant patient records

and timely documentation. Must be

eager to join a private practice team

while maintaining self-autonomy and utilizing support when needed. Previous experience working with

women's mental health or perinatal/postpartum populations

strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years

of experience in the treatment of mental health disorders. Experience treating

perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs)

, trauma, grief/loss, or related women's mental health conditions. Experience with

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

,

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

,

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

, or

Mindfulness-based treatments (MBCT)

.

PMH-C certification

or completion of perinatal mental health training (or willingness to obtain).

Licensure in Arizona

(required); additional state licensure is a plus.

Compensation & Details

Compensation:

Revenue-sharing model (details discussed during interviews).

Schedule:

Flexible contractor-driven hours; expand as caseload grows.
