Job Purpose:
Under limited supervision provides quality, timely, and targeted treatment services to clients located in Berkeley County. Services include screening, assessment, and case management. If currently licensed, must maintain licensure.

Job Duties:
Provides treatment services as outlined in the individual treatment plan.

Develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors treatment plans for assigned juveniles; conducts initial interviews for assessment purposes; discusses treatment plans as needed; develops behavioral contracts with juveniles and monitor progress.

Provides counseling services. Conducts individual, group, and family counseling which involves complex interpersonal and social dimensions, provides crisis intervention on an as needed basis.

Provides case management. Obtains, coordinates, and ensures continuity of services from other agencies, i.e., mental health, social services, alcohol and drug abuse, etc.; prepares related and required social work reports, i.e. monthly case summaries counseling reports, treatment team summaries, behavioral and/or incident reports, etc.

Also attends and participates in pre-court staffings with ISO staff as well as probation officers.

Works closely with county director to provide optimal services.

Administration duties and requirements. Presents recommendations based on individual juvenile progress and performance; completes clinical service notes in for juveniles seen; submits bi-monthly Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services billing for Medical Reimbursement; compiles and submits monthly statistics as scheduled; other paperwork as needed.

Provides crisis management and intervention with walk ins, court cases and over the phone.

Attends training necessary to maintain licensure. Attends and participates in various meetings, training programs or seminars to provide optimum juvenile services, for information exchange and professional growth.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Agency Requirements: A bachelor\'s degree in social work from a program accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body for social work programs, or from a social work program whose standards are at least equivalent to the minimum standards required by the nationally recognized accrediting body approved by the Board. Licensed as an LMSW or LISW-CP by SCBSWE.
Additional requirements: Considerable knowledge of supervisory methods/techniques needs as well as the ability to integrate/coordinate specialized services with those of other disciplines.

Must be able to stimulate trust and engage clients in problem solving.

Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Must apply social work principles/techniques in client services/treatment.

This position requires an exceptionally flexible individual who is capable of a large work output, high level frustration tolerance and the ability to utilize crisis intervention and realistic goal planning. Agency policies and procedures will be provided. Training and supervision will be provided.

This position performs job duties relating to the custody, control, transportation or recapture of juveniles within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the employee may have direct and indirect contact with juveniles within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Training applicable to the duties will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred: Master\'s degree in Social Worker from an accredited program and professional experience in human services or social services programs with one year of professional direct clinical experience. Licensed as an LMSW or LISW-CP by SCBSWE.
