Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their recovery. This position requires a strong commitment to patient welfare and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

Assist in the implementation of patient care plans and therapeutic activities. Conduct patient assessments to monitor mental health status and progress. Provide crisis intervention and support during acute episodes. Facilitate behavioral therapy sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions. Support patients with PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, and other specialized needs. Engage with pediatric patients, ensuring age-appropriate communication and support. Collect data for treatment planning and evaluation purposes. Work effectively with individuals with disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment.

Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

Proficient in case management techniques to coordinate care effectively. Knowledgeable in crisis intervention strategies to handle emergency situations. Experience in behavioral therapy practices that promote patient well-being. Familiarity with medical records management for accurate documentation. Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments to inform treatment plans. Understanding of PTSD care protocols and chronic pain counseling methods. Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred. Strong data collection skills to support clinical evaluations. Compassionate approach towards working with individuals with disabilities.
