DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle phone calls from patients who are seeking medical attention with compassion, good judgment and making decisions based on clinical and regulatory policies and protocols
• Educate patients on the phone who have questions about the services provided
• Schedule appointments, and answer patient questions
• Completes Prior Authorizations
• Processes medication renewals and authorizations
• Room patients as needed obtaining vital signs, accurate medication, medical and social history while documenting this info in the patient\'s chart
• Assist the provider with setup for and help with minor procedures as needed
• Performs other duties/tasks as assigned by supervisor or as directed by providers.

• Must possess a New York State license and current registration for Licensed Practical Nursing
• 1-2 years\' experience in outpatient setting preferred
• BLS certificate required
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Proficient computer skills with excellent attention to detail, organization and time management skills
• Ability to handle a busy office environment
