We cannot hire LMSWs, LBSWs, ALCs etc. for this position. Only LICSW's and LPCs will be considered.

Counselor

(LPCs) work alongside IBH's excellent psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to provide

clinical therapy

in a traditional outpatient setting. LICSWs are an integral part of our treatment team! This is an

Counselor Salary and Benefits

Counselor Responsibilities

Observe client behavior, assess needs and create treatment strategies Diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders Develop and put treatment plans in place in consultation with physicians, nurse practitioners and medical professionals Involve and consult with clients' families during treatment

Counselor Position Requirements

Active and unrestricted Social Work or LPC license in state of Alabama Ability to work without direct in-person supervision and practice autonomously Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and electronic medical records. Self guided determination to complete your notes inside of 24 hours
