Job Description

We are looking for an engaging library educational technician to temporarily support elementary library and media programs. This role is crucial for fostering a love of reading, integrating essential technology skills, and promoting digital citizenship among our 2-4 students. The position will be from late December 2025 to April 16th, 2026. The successful candidate will: - Student Support: Assist students with utilizing library-specific and general educational technology tools, including research databases, e-books, digital literacy platforms, and school-issued devices (e.g., Chromebooks, tablets).- Resource Management: Manage and maintain the library's collection of paper and digital resources, ensuring accessibility and proper usage by students and staff.- Circulation: Oversee the daily circulation desk operations, including checking materials in and out, processing holds, and shelving.- Student Interaction: Supervise and assist students during class visits and open library times, promoting a love for reading and responsible use of library resources.- Collection Maintenance: Assist with processing new materials, repairing damaged books, and performing shelf-reading to maintain an organized collection.- Collaboration: Work closely with the Library Media Specialist to implement library programming, lessons, and activities that promote digital citizenship, information literacy, and media skills.
