Duties
----------
Some of what you'll do:
Provide paraprofessional and clerical duties in support of OHR including:
+ Greet customers in person and over the phone and assist with requests for information and resources.
+ Receive, date-stamp, and route daily mail to appropriate departments via fax or email.
+ Track and monitor non-permanent employment appointments.
+ Provide backup assistance for processing criminal history background checks for employees.
+ Complete supplies order requests and enter information into the purchasing system.
+ Reconcile bank statements and vendor invoices on a monthly basis. Perform audit of HR Systems Payroll entries and support Payroll audit functions.
Monitor and track the agency's performance planning and appraisal forms (PPAF).
Enter PPAF's into the HR systems and send emails to programs when PPAF's are not received within the required timeframe.
Ensure that documents that are sent to the electronic filing system for employee personnel and agency position files are appropriately labeled and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Coordinate personnel file document requests from the HR Manager.

Qualifications
------------------
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent, and
three (3) years of office experience
including at least
six (6) months of experience in human resource office
or related setting.

Basic computer skills including basic
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
.
Basic proficiency level with
Adobe Acrobat Pro
.
Demonstrated
customer service skills
. Ability to listen attentively, identify issues, provide options, fulfill services, and/or exercise knowledge of law and regulations to assist others and/or resolve complaints or conflicts.
Ability to be clear and concise in
communications
with individuals at all levels including customers, subordinates, managers, or representatives from programs outside OHR, both verbally and in writing, using terminology appropriate for the audience.
Ability to
establish and maintain relationships
with others.
Experience
working with teams
made up of representatives beyond their own program, including experience working with representatives from the
public
.
Ability to maintain the highest level of
integrity and confidentially,
handling high level sensitive information and data.
Ability to prioritize and
perform multiple tasks
in the same period, handle interruptions appropriately, and return to incomplete tasks.

For this position, teleworking is not currently permitted.
Due to the nature of this position's work, the incumbent of this position will be expected to work in the office full time Monday through Friday.
The assigned duty station for this position is Tumwater, Washington.
