Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced and licensed armed Lv 2 and 3 security officers to join our team in Austin, Texas. We are a small and growing company and are in need of part-time officers with availability on the weekends to service our client in North Austin.

Availability is a major key factor we will be looking at.

We are currently looking for officers who have availability for weekend swing shifts (Fri and Saturdays, 6p-midnight at 8p-2a).

This job is ideal for applicants who work through the week and have weekend availability for supplemental income, granted these officers can commit to a set schedule on the weekends

Officers with prior law enforcement or military background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Officers with 7+ years experience in private security are strongly encouraged to apply.

As an armed security security officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, deterring criminal activity, and responding to security incidents when they arise. Your primary duty is to ensure the safety and security of our client, their properties, employees, tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Patrol and Surveillance:

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and prevent security threats, suspicious activity, or safety hazards. A strong plus if candidate can use their own vehicle for site that require vehicle patrols.

Conflict Resolution:

De-escalate tense situations and handle conflicts professionally and discreetly.

Access Control:

Monitor entry and exit points, verifying the identity of individuals and ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed access.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or disturbances, and take appropriate action in accordance with company protocols and state laws.

Weapon Handling:

Safely carry and utilize firearms in accordance with state regulations and company policies.

Report Writing:

Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related information.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors, offering assistance and information as needed.

Safety Procedures:

Enforce safety regulations and protocols, such as fire prevention, evacuation plans, and emergency response procedures.

Training:

Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest security practices and laws.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of security equipment and firearms. Uniforms should be neatly pressed and washed on a regular basis.

Level 4 Only:

Be able to work plain clothes (jeans and solid color polo or suit and tie) and possess and execute PPO protocol for high-risk clients. Must be willing to travel. Major plus is willing to drive principle in personal vehicle.

You have:

At least

7 years

of security-related experience

Texas Level III Commissioned Officers Only:

Must possess a valid and current Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer license

Texas Level IV Officers Only:

Must possess a level III commission and PPO Certification

Your own firearm

that you certified with on your Level III license

High School Diploma or GED:

A minimum educational requirement.

Previous Experience:

Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or private security is preferred but not mandatory.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Fitness:

Must be physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.

Reliability:

Must have a strong work ethic and be punctual.

Legal Eligibility:

Must be eligible to work in the United States and have a clean criminal record.

A Set or Predictable Schedule:

The nature of the part-time/on call role will have rotating demands. While FT opportunities are possible, the part-time/on call officer should be able to give availability at least 2 weeks prior to schedule postings.

The ideal candidates also:

Have a reliable vehicle that can also be used for patrol Can work well in both a team and on solo assignments

Benefits:

Starting pay rate:

Lv2 = $19-21/hr

Lv3 = $22-24/hr

Ongoing training and development opportunities Uniform provided (Must provide your own firearm. Body armor is highly encouraged.)
