Process Server - Shelby County, TN (Independent Contractor)

Essential Responsibilities

Travel throughout Shelby County, Tennessee to serve civil court papers to individuals.

Log all delivery attempts through a mobile app.

Complete paperwork with accuracy.

Manage and prioritize jobs in order to consistently meet deadlines.

Return documents from a company drop box as needed, no more than once per week.

Time Commitment & Scope

Set your schedule and be your own boss. Work can be done Monday through Saturday.

Your estimated time commitment could range anywhere from 10 to 40 hours per week.

PLEASE NOTE: Work is assigned on an as-needed basis.

Fees

Expect to earn on average between $30 and $50 per hour worked.

All work miles driven using your personal vehicle can be deducted from federal income tax at the rate of $0.70 per mile.

Qualifications/Requirements

Process service experience is not required but is a plus. Orientation and learning opportunities are provided.

College degree preferred, but not required.

Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance.

Reliable smartphone.

Able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record, and drug/alcohol screening.
