Personal Injury law firm seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, highly organized hardworking Legal Assistant/Intake Specialist with experience in Personal Injury Law.

The Legal Assistant/Case Intake Specialist is responsible for speaking with potential, new and existing auto accident & personal injury clients and entering information promptly and accurately. This position also requires opening and maintaining new case files into our case management software, sending communications to clients, adjusters and medical providers and ordering and following up on medical records and billing.

Responsibilities:



Opening maintaining new case files, notifying claim adjusters in interested parties of representation. Collecting client's information. Helping clients throughout initial process. Resolving problems and handling client's issues in a professional and confidential manner. Ordering and maintaining medical records and billing for demands to insurance companies. Answering and directing client calls of potential, new and existing clients. Accurately summarize relevant information obtained during each telephone call. Perform follow-up calls with clients. Send messages to appropriate attorneys and staff members. Perform data entry and research as needed in support of intake process and throughout the case. Other tasks as assigned.

Skills Required:



Ideal candidates would, at minimum have 1 year of legal experience with Personal Injury, strong PC skills, have excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with firm personnel at all levels with a high degree of professionalism, have excellent written communication skills including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation, have a professional and courteous demeanor, and the ability to work independently/sort priorities with minimal direct supervision. Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary Knowledge of Alabama law, legal procedures and protocols, and court systems: Excellent knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office included Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe is mandatory. CasePeer is ideal.

Proficiency in English, bi-lingual a plus. Working knowledge of case management software. Excellent secretarial and organizational skills Highly organized with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work in fast-paced office answer multiple phone lines. Must be an empathetic listener. Must type at least 35-50 WPM.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: Approx $20hr
